Ceangal House
South Lanarkshire

Location: South Lanarkshire, Scotland, UK

Architect: Loader Montieth Archiects

Role: Civil and Structural Engineering Consultants*

A new residential development, which is part single- and part two-storey, and wraps round an external courtyard on this rural site.

The new building is of traditional construction consisting of timber roof, external loadbearing timber walls with natural stone cladding, suspended timber floors with ground bearing slabs elsewhere and strip and pad foundations.

Several reinforced concrete retaining walls are specified in and around the property as necessary to suit proposed ground levels.

We also provided the design of the off-grid drainage network for the new home.
